Beach huts at Boscombe - original unedited captureBeach huts at Boscombe - original unedited capture

Welcome to my very first ever blog!

I took this photo from low on the ground to try and get the perspective of the huts vanishing into the distance with the aperture set at f16 to ensure maximum depth of field. I knew that I would be cropping it later to produce a panorama effect.

I used Adobe's Lightroom to crop the image, selectively enhance clarity, contrast and colour saturation as well as sharpening before exporting into Photoshop Elements. In Photoshop I created 3 layers one with just the huts and the others with the foreground in one and the background behind the huts in the other. The background layer was blurred and for the foreground layer I used an "artistic filter" to soften the effect so that the huts stand out as the central point of interest! The result is below.

Loving your photos Nigel. Already a big fan and have made a canvas of my first 'Nigel Jarvis' original. Gorgeous.
